and INITIATIVES
Education and Outreach
Understanding others also takes understanding of self. Developing cultural agility is a journey that takes intention and a deep understanding of our own values and beliefs and how they shape our world view.
The Sowing Room offers workshops and hands on activities designed to fit your needs.
IN PROGRESS:
Bridging Differences Engagement Opportunities
Storytelling and Creating Places of Belonging
Storytelling and placemaking inspires people to collectively reimagine and reinvent public spaces as the heart of every community. Strengthening the connection between people and the places they share, placemaking refers to a collaborative process by which we can shape our public realm to maximize shared value. Thinking about space differently facilitates creative patterns of use, paying particular attention to the physical, cultural, and social identities that define a place and support its ongoing evolution.
